Engineering Academy General Overview

The path to an engineering career doesn’t start at college enrollment. For many, it begins when they first stack blocks or spend an afternoon with construction toys. For others, it starts when they are awestruck at seeing their first skyscraper.

The inspiration to become an engineer often comes early – the education to take that inspiration and turn it into a viable career should also start early. Through the Engineering Academy, Pitsco Education provides high school students opportunities to apply science, technology, math, and communication skills as they delve into the different fields of engineering and engineering concepts and principles.

Designed as a teacher-led program, the Pitsco Engineering Academy offers three years of curriculum to help students explore their potential for a rewarding career.

So what sets the Pitsco Engineering Academy apart from other high school engineering programs? First, it offers flexible course combinations. The courses can be completed in any order desired. And schools can choose one year of curriculum – or two or three years. Pitsco can offer recommendations, but ultimately the school chooses what it needs.

And rather than replacing traditional science and math curricula, the Engineering Academy complements them with hands-on projects with real-world applications. Students learn the importance of science and math principles by applying them.
